Spring Break 2007

In case you haven't noticed, I've been away for a few days! We went on a Spring Break Road Trip down South. I have a ton of stories, so I'll properly blog about it tomorrow, but for tonight, it's enough to say that we're home safe and sound. And just to give you a taste of what's to come... here I am on Saturday, hanging out somewhere in Southern Sudan, not straying too far from the road for our pit stop ('cause there are a few landmines in the area):Man, it was a good trip! It's going to take one or two blogs, plus a Picasa web album, I think, to tell the whole story. For the moment, though, I feel like I'm STILL being bounced around in the truck. So I think it's time to have another drink of water and go to bed!

If you want to see where we went, check out the link to the UN maps and find the road that goes from Juba to Kapoeta. It's a distance of 280 km, and took us about 7 hours to cover today. It took us only 6 hours to cover the distance on Saturday... but that was with Andy driving a fair bit of the way, and, well, that's a story for tomorrow.
