I'm sitting here and watching "The God's Must be Crazy" in our verandah, enjoying some hibuscus flower tea and sitting in front of my fan.... ahhhh... the fan! The temperature is a bit cooler tonight (it's only 33C or so in here at the moment), but because of the huge rain storm that blew in during our dinner last night, it's quite humid and sweaty. Yuck. The movie was lent to us by one of the Dinka team members that we're working with here! He brought it from Uganda, but for some reason, it's got Japanese subtitles! I tell you, the crazy things that you find around here.
I keep thinking of things throughout the day that I want to blog about, but by the time I get to the blog, I can't think of anything interesting to say! And I've not had much time to blog, either, since there's still no city power. It's strange how regimented my time becomes when I have such a tight schedule of electricity! And I just realized that I was going to go and put some laundry in the washing machine while the electricity was on tonight, but I forgot, and now there's not enough time. Yup, that's right, I said WASHING MACHINE! Really, life is getting to be quite posh around here. I no longer spend a few hours every week scrubbing my clothes by hand. Life is pretty good, I tell you.
