Fan!

I have exactly 5 minutes before we're plunged into darkness for the evening. But I thougth I'd better say something on my blog.

The excitement for the day: I got my birthday present today! Finally, a shipment came in with a brand spankin' new Black and Decker 16" Standing Fan. Wow. What a treat. So, whenever the electricity is on, I can sit in relative comfort! I was actually sitting in front of the fan and thinking a bit about the part in "Gone with the Wind" when Scarlett is at Tara and saying, "I'll never go hungry again..." And all I could think about was, "I'll never be sweaty again!"

It's SO nice to have a fan. It cost a bit... quite a bit more than the same thing would be anywhere else in the world. But wow, what a difference it has already made to my quality of life! It makes it pleasant to sit around, and I can think and move, instead of just sitting and sweating and thinking about how hot I am.

Too bad the city power's not working these days! But my few minutes are up, so I'll post them toddle off to the generator shed to turn the thing off!
