Yup, the Arabian Princess is still alive! Internet has been pretty patchy and I haven't really wanted to do much blogging on my iPod... so, sorry for the lack of info on the blog! At this very moment, I'm sitting in the lounge at a guesthouse in Nairobi, waiting for the time to come to go to the airport to catch a flight to Entebbe. I've got a great weekend planned in Jinja with Miss Grace and her wee ones, meeting up with some fellow Canadians. And then... wait for it... I'm going home! Home to my African home, that is! There's WAY too much snow at home home, so I'm really looking forward to getting back to "normal" life in J. At the moment, I'm planning to head back on Tuesday.
But life has been good. Island life is good. Island life is very good. I swam, I wandered on the beach, I shopped for pretty fabrics, I ate good food with my folks. I went on a few boat rides. I swam with the fishes. It was good. My parents left me on Tuesday night, but I was able to spend some quality time with my new best friend on Wednesday all day. My Toshiba M10 and I have spent some quality time together. Ah, the speed. The onboard mouse that works. The dustless keyboard. So nice. What a blessing to have a new electronic help-mate :)
So. I have to go to the airport soon. More later, if anyone is interested!
