Just a quick post to say I'm safe and sound in Uganda :) What a great trip we had - couldn't have asked for a better trip, really. Though we could have done without the rain that came about 30 minutes from our destination (after 18 hours on the road!). It soaked all the stuff in the back of the truck :( But I don't think anything got too damaged.
Beautiful scenery, great roadtrip snacks, and even some good company made the hours fly by... except for those hours when I was standing in the blazing sun waiting for immigration behind 5 busloads of Ugandans! Me and my white (rather pink!) skin and funny sun hat didn't stand out at all :)
But it was a good trip, and now it's Christmas Eve. Looking forward to another good trip tomorrow morning! We will end up in Kidepo National Park with some friends who live up in that area! I hope to have more time to post more stories when I get back!
