Off again!

So tomorrow I start yet another adventure.  Sorry, no blogging about the last one in Ethiopia!  Suffice to say, Ethiopia is amazing.  Good people.  Good food. What more could a girl want?

Tomorrow I'm heading to Uganda - by road :)  I went by road a few years ago, so I'm kind of excited to see how much the way has changed.  Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.  But one never knows, does one?

The truck is all packed.  My computer is backing up.  And I'm about to hit the sack.  Gotta wake up early tomorrow.  Thankfully, I'm not going to be doing most of the driving, but will be keeping the driver awake with my eternally entertaining stories and witty anecdotes.  Or maybe I'll just have to poke him once in a while to make sure he's not comatose!

If I'm not online before Christmas, have a very, very happy Christmas.  A pastor of mine gave a sermon a few years ago at Christmas, and I think it's probably the only sermon that I actually remember most of.  The main point of his sermon was that at Christmas, "God stepped in".  It's when we celebrate that God became one of us.  He stooped down to be like us, to be with us.  And he is still with us.  And that is truly something to celebrate.  So happy Christmas!  And really, I promise to come back and start blogging again soon...
