Anyways, here are a few photos of what's been going on around here these past couple of days. Of course, I'm blissfully unaware of a lot of it, since I'm just sitting here at my computer... I just suddenly become aware of what's happening out there when a face like this one appears in our hoffice! How would YOU like to share a room with this one for three months?!

Work Camp
A few months ago, our dear neighbor, Pam, walked into our guesthouse and said something to the effect that our house was turning into a work camp. How right she was. (Man, just an aside - I kinda miss Pam. It somehow seems like she should be jumping out of their truck and coming over for a cup of tea any day now. But of course, she's drinking tea face to face with her Saviour today. If you think of it, please pray for Ian, Pam's husband, and the rest of their family as they adjust to life without Pam).

This is the cause of all of Grace's sweat and mud:
Richard is also working hard. Here, he's welding his little heart out. You can't really tell from the photo, but he had the welding machine perched on an old filing cabinet. He was straddling the machine with one his his legs perched on a ladder and one on the other side of the cabinet.
Richard really is a master at perching on things to get the job done. A few weeks, ago, he was perched on old diesel drums to bash out a hole in the wall for a window for the new meeting room.
So what is all this bashing and digging and welding for, you might ask? Well, it's all for new offices for a couple of translation and literacy teams that will be relocating here in the coming few weeks. They have previously been based in Uganda, but are now moving into this country. It's quite the operation to get offices and accommodation and all of the systems set up to get them up and running here. I tell you, things are going to change a little around here! But it's exciting to be here at this time, as the foundations for the work of Bible translation are being laid!
