Still surviving!

It's Sunday morning, and I'm just doing a quick blog while Grace gets some mangos cleaned up for us. We have the generator running because there are some Kenyans here who are doing some welding on a fence that's going to go up on our new property this week... so we get some internet time this morning! As soon as Grace comes with the mangos, though, we're going to sit and listen to some John Piper. He's a much better preacher than the ones that we normally hear at the local church here! All of our Americans have gone off to the ECS church, so all of us "regulars" are sitting around having a quiet morning...

I had a nice sleep in this morning, too, since Grace and I stayed up too late watching yet another episode of Smallville. We're a tad bit obsessed, and are now on the third episode of season 2. We also keep track online of what's happening in season 6, airing these days back at home. Our internet here isn't quite fast enough to actually watch the new episodes online :( So we content ourselves by reading the online episode summaries every week. I'm still a little puzzled about what happened to Lana's baby, though...

And I digress... time for John Piper to direct my thoughts to something slightly more important and real than Smallville!

So you're in the middle of nowhere and still have kept up with Smallville better than we have. Baby? Lex or Clark's or...? We so need to get a DVD player that can show VCDs...

I sympathize with your household repair plight. There are plenty of supplies here but the quality is so bad, I often have to salvage from the better bits and use some creativity to even get the doorknobs to work. At least I don't have a generator to worry about.

Lex's! But there's something fishy about the whole thing... and now I think she's actually lost the baby. I just think they didn't want her to start looking too pregnant on the show and have to leave the tight jeans behind...
You can keep up with the episodes online: http://www.tv.com/smallville/show/1718/summary.html
Or, they're generally posted on YouTube the day after they air... but that's if you have faster internet than I have.
Have fun fixing those doorknobs!
