I got some rat glue from my favorite little supermarket yesterday and last night carefully lined some cardboard in the drawer with half a tube of glue. Since I didn't get a photo of the actual little rat who met his demise, here's a photo of the glue, now one of my favorite things here. And a steal of a deal, too! A tube, which will probably catch two rats, only costs $2.50! So for the price of one Coke, you can get yourself two whole rats!
Now that's what I call a good deal!

All well and good for drawer-raiding rats. The glue isn't as helpful for rats that live in the ceiling and make lots of noise running around up there.
I once used the glue to try and catch them up there before thinking it through. They would run through, get 2 or3 legs stuck then drag themselves off to some narrow cranny in the far edge of the ceiling before dying, thus necessitating me to "rescue" the stinking carcass from the furnace like conditions while trying not to fall through my own ceiling.
Learned my lesson on that one. The thought actually ran through my mind, that the headline would read "Muzungu chopped to peices while falling through his own ceiling fan!"
Oh wow - what a great deal (and you know how I love those!)! Two rats for the price of one coke! Congratulations! You are quite the mighty hunter...
